You can soon take out health insurance policies from LIC, India's largest life insurance company and a central public sector undertaking. LIC is entering the health insurance sector by acquiring a company. LIC CEO Siddhartha Mohanty told a national media outlet that an announcement in this regard will be made soon.
Discussions to acquire a company in the health insurance sector are in the final stages. LIC's move comes at a time when the health insurance sector is experiencing strong growth.
